Church is always an adventure for us, Audrina’s first visit she let the congregation know she needed a diaper change, the next attempt she wanted to nurse the entire sermon and our nice pastor let me do so in his office, and finally when I went to check out the nursery a little boy coughed right on us. So even going into church builds a little anxiety of what adventures we have in store! Today though daddy held Audrina during the first songs, her eyes were getting big and heavy so I took her and she fell asleep in my arms. And then we began singing this song:"He Knows My Name (I Have a Maker)"
The first line says it all, “ I have a maker, He formed my heart, Before time began, My life was in his hands.”
This is true for Audrina, myself, all of us. This is the chosen path for us and when I put my eyes on Him, my anxiety dissipates.
Audrina slept through the entire sermon!!! This was my first time since she was born I didn’t have to get up during it. I really love our church, its called the Island Chapel. Pastor Mike is incredible and his message is always powerful and very interesting. We are beginning to talk about the women in Christ’s genealogy. Today we talked of Tamar, what a story she has. I am glad I live in the present time, this story was something you wouldn’t even find on a soap opera! I think that is one of the biggest misconceptions about the bible, is that it is boring-well I say No Way! These stories are incredible, suspenseful and sometimes scandalous! Can’t wait until next week!
I spent the afternoon doing the clothes swap out for Audrina. Out with the 6 month, on to the 9 months. I feel bad, I didn’t realize the 6 month clothes were only up to a height of 25.5inches, she is 27, but the scary part is the 9 months only go up to 27.5. I foresee a life long problem for our “string bean”(thanks Aunt Melissa!)
I then decided to break free for a couple hours and bike ride to Fort Desoto and up and down the beach. I haven’t done that since before I was pregnant, it felt so good to just ride and see the beautiful water I love so much. Audrina did good with daddy for about an hour, but then she wanted her mommy back. I guess that is what happens when her and I spend all our time together. I don’t mind a bit and my mom spent all her time with us girls and I think we are just fine:)
We are doing the Congenital Heart Walk on May 21. Our team is Audrina’s Sunshine. CHD is the #1 birth defect, it is grossly underfunded and I want to change that! Any donations are wonderful, you can do so here:

Little miss is up and hungry-got to run!

I hear ya, those questions run through my head all the time. When I see no answer I just cough it up that one day God will reveal himself to me why it happened.
