Our God Shaped Life: Your 10 Months Old!!!!

Audrina and I being goofy with hair bows ( hair bows have become my obsession now that she finally has hair!) Also finally found out what to do with her middle name letters I made while pregnant with her!

Dear Audrina,

Wow, our family of 3 have fallen into a nice little groove! We spend a lot of time together (so that is a good thing). It’s awesome to see your personality develop into this little person. You are funny, smart, curious, loving and many more! You enjoy going to the office with us and the patients just love you there. You like to help mommy with the plants and you carry the envelopes to the mail. You love to scream when mommy has to call the dreaded insurance companies (but I think I actually get sympathy from the insurance adjusters- so good work:). You are definitely a rough and tumble kid and can keep up with your older cousins. But you are still sweet as sugar, you cuddle all the time and just yesterday you slept for an hour on my chest (just like when you were a little bitty baby…)

Your Milestones:

You can climb on the couch (yesterday you climbed all the way up the couch-remember kiddo we are very much trying to avoid a visit to ACH), your swing, up and down slides, bookcases…. you name it you try to climb it
You can say pup and when I put the phone to your ear you say Hi!
You like to eat everything. But nursing is still your primary source of fuel.
You can identify colors and objects in books.
You love to sing, if music turns on you instantly stop, listen and sing.
Momma has had 2 outings without you (the longest we have been separated since birth!) You and I both handled them very well, probably you better than me!
You are very much a Daddy’s girl now, too! You two are hilarious (although you guys drive me crazy some times!)
Your 29 inches tall and weigh 16.6 pounds. Tall and skinny!
You love books, to read them, eat them, and climb on them.
You must be getting more teeth, your fingers are always in your mouth and your skin has been so red around your mouth.
You love your dog and cat. And have mastered climbing under the baby gate to the cat food and love to dunk your cookies in the dog’s water bowl-“Yum”.

I call you Busy- because you are! It’s so amazing to watch this progression from baby to toddler! Your a lot of fun and keep me on my toes!

It’s been over 2 months since our last cardiologist visit and we don’t go back until October 24. It’s nice not having the CHD at the forefront of every thought. That is a big change in the past couple months. I pray for her heart and hope it’s working strong. At bible study a couple week’s ago I came home noticing my walls were so bare. My cousin Elisabeth had these beautiful verses on her walls and I just loved it. I called her to find out how to make them and she said she would love to make it for me (she is so awesome!!!). I love it and want to fill our house and lives with His word.

On the Nye home front, we are itching to get closer to the office. We absolutely love the weekends here on the island, but soon as that drive on Monday comes our weeks are nonstop. I want to start going to the office more and taking on some new tasks there. But as it is two days driving there and back with Audrina is tough. It takes her off her schedule and I can’t stand being in the car that much. We really need to sell our house in North Carolina, so if you know anyone who needs a house in good ol’ Franklin, NC let me know;)

I have been following this great book on my kindle : http://www.amazon.com/dp/098256581X/ref=cm_sw_su_dp and have been hitting the Crossfit workouts pretty hard-gosh I love this stuff!!!! As much as I loved pregnancy, getting my body back and doing things like lifting heavy weights and tons of pullups I sure did miss!

Hope the summer is treating everyone wonderfully! I can not believe my niece, Tatiana, will be starting kindergarten next week-send me a tissue box! Many blessings to you all!!!!
