Nothing but Friends, Fun and Firsts!!!
Audrina celebrated her 6th month birthday in a big way!!! Our very best friends from Georgia, the Kershaw’s, came down for a visit! I actually have known Mike and Susan for about 15 years!!! We all use to work together at a beach store on Madeira Beach. They have been the dearest friends for a LONG time! They moved up to Georgia years before I did. When I got to Georgia it was so nice to be near them and of course their new daughter, Madison. It’s been almost 2 years since we moved back to Florida so a visit with them was a much needed treat! Madison is still the sweetest little girl, her love for Kyla and Charley is so endearing. When she cried when they had to leave today, it just melted my heart, gosh I love that girl! Audrina loves little kids, her and Madison will be forever friends! I love to see the interaction between children it’s so magical. Madison helped me so much while she was here. She helped give Audrina baths, change her diaper, get her dressed, brush her hair, and read her books. It was great, made me think having a second kid around wouldn’t be that bad-haha-don’t worry we’re not ready-yet:)
We went to the Glazer Children’s Museum on Sunday and everyone had a great time! It’s a really neat museum in Tampa. That is the best part of parenthood, just watching your child go and explore new things. Audrina actually was very engaged the entire visit.
Monday we took the girls to a nearby park. It was actually Audrina’s first visit to a playground! She had her first swing ride thanks to Susan! She seemed a little unsure at first, but soon caught on and loved it. I took her down the slide, her first time on a slide and a long time since I have been on one- so FUN!!! We then visited Fort Desoto, it was so windy!!! Audrina was sleeping in the sling and when she woke she stuck her head up and the wind caught her little face and she made the most hilarious face! We saw a kite surfer cruise across the gulf in about 5 minutes ( I want to do that one day!).
We had a mini reunion at our old Wing House. The girls there loved Audrina, I just loved those naked blackened wings! I think part of Susan’s reason to get down here was for those yummy wings. I apologize to my friends they had to listen to my singing on the way home. Audrina wasn’t enjoying the car ride and the only thing that stops her from crying is my singing. Poor baby doesn’t even realize her mommy can’t carry a tune!
It was a great time, with the most wonderful friends in the world. I thank God for people like them in this world. They are just the type of people that you want to always be around (I would LOVE it if they moved back to Florida, and Madison would, too:)
Audrina is napping right now, all day she has been ON THE MOVE! She is so hilarious with those little bird legs, they’re pretty strong for being so tiny.
We ate very well while our guests were here, I took time to enjoy them and not stress to much about the scale. We were so busy anyways, even that ice cream cone on the beach didn’t make a dent.
We got behind on our bible readings, but that is what I like about the program I am using it’s easy to get back in after some time off. I sure did thank God for all this goodness and life that has surrounded us a bunch though. I can’t believe Audrina is 6 months!!! She is incredible, strong, and silly what more could a gal ask for!?!
Off to go vacuum, guess with her crawling that will be a daily task now….
God bless,
Rachel
